Facial Cleansers From milk cleansers to face washes a cleanser removes the grime and pollutants that can build up during the day. Cleansing is essential to enable your moisturiser to soak into the skin without the presence of impurities to prevent spots and breakouts. Your skin type will determine which type of product will be best for you.
Toners Apply your toner after you have thoroughly cleansed your skin to remove any traces of cleanser, make-up or dirt. Your skin should feel refreshed and ready to absorb your moisturiser. Not all of our brands produce a toner in the range but rest assured those that do are gentle and will not strip the skin.
Facial Exfoliants & Scrubs In general, routine cleansing cannot remove dead skin cells and deeply embedded impurities, which can leave the skin lifeless and prone to breakouts. The aim of a face scrub is to gently scrub away the layer of dead skin from your face leaving it smooth and helping to clean out your pores. In removing dead skin cells, exfoliating encourages skin cell renewal.
Face Masks Cleansers and scrubs can treat the outer layer of the skin but how do you treat beneath the surface? The application of a facial mask will draw out impurities from beneath the top layers of the epidermis. Masks also help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores so that other products in your routine work more effectively. Masks also help stimulate blood circulation and leave your skin feeling silky and smooth.
Moisturisers Whether you have extremely dry skin or excessively oily skin, there's a moisturiser for you. You may need to deeply nourish your skin if it's dry or mature or you may need a product to even out the zones of your face. Apply after cleansing both morning and night to get the best results.
Facial Serums Serums are water-based treatments for the skin that target specific problems such as fine lines, pigmentation or lifeless skin. Apply the serum to your skin before your moisturiser. The serum will quickly be absorbed by the skin and be most effective without the barrier of a moisturiser.
Eye & Lip Treatments Known to be the thinnest, least elastic areas of skin on the body, the lip and eye areas are most prone to dryness and ageing. Neither of the areas has their own moisture supply and therefore need special care and attention. Always apply eye creams by patting a small amount of product around the area using your index finger to avoid stretching and pulling at the area. Lips can be maintained and protected with a good lip treatment that moisturisers and prevents drying.
Neck Treatments The neck or décolleté as it is known, is very susceptible to ageing and is often a giveaway to your age. As time goes by the skin loses its elasticity and succumbs to gravity. Apply your neck treatments in an effleurage motion (upward strokes to the chin) to increase blood flow and encourage firming.
Spot & Blemish Treatment There's nothing worse than a spot that appears when you need to look your best. Apply your treatment to the problem area a take out soreness and calm the area. Many blemish treatments work by drawing out the impurities and blockages so application at night is often best.
Scar Treatments Surgical procedures, acne and other facial scarring can knock your confidence. Using a product specifically created to improve skin cell regeneration you can diminish the appearance of a scar and encourage the healing process.
