Nesti Dante Il Frutteto - Citron & Bergamot Soap is a natural vegetable bar soap, fortified with Citrus Extracts that energise the skin. It has the fresh scent of Lemon combined with sunny notes of Bergamot and produces a rich lather that gently cleanses the skin leaving it moisturised and energised.

Soap was first used tens of centuries ago, but it was in Florence, when the Medici Family was in power, that soap-making became a real profession. The corporation of Master Soapmakers was formed under the noble Art of Physicians and Pharmacists. Today it is still at the heart of Florence, with a street still bearing the name Via dei Saponai (Soapmaker’s street).

Nowadays Nesti Dante srl is one of the few factories that produces soap with the hand crafted method of saponification, notwithstanding its industrial-size. The process takes place in big containers, called "boilers" and lasts several days. During this operation, the expertise of the soap-boiler is extremely important to control all the stages of the saponification process. The difference can be experienced in the quality of the soap produced which is richer and more softening. Every soap is made with love and care by Nesti Dante.
